Dornberg was inspired by his high school art teacher to explore Juxtaposition. At UCLA his painting teachers encouraged him to paint from life, and to paint often.</div> <bR> <div> Over the past 12 years Dornberg has produced more than 900 works, which are displayed on his website, some of which appear in poetry e-zines and are in printed publications or on book covers.</div> <bR> <div> <B>Statement</B></div> <bR> <div> It is essential to study the elements that make a painting great. These elements include: relationships of objects, shapes, lines, spaces and colors; their juxtaposition toward the surface and the edges; their rhythm and balance.</div> <div> Studying these elements takes place whenever a work is reviewed. It is essential to learn from review, and to adapt and progress, yet to remain free to expore and to change.</div> <div> Subject matter is chosen from slices of my life.
