Biography
Art has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. I have been drawing, painting, and generally making things since I could first hold a crayon. I love to work in many different styles, from very realistic to completely abstract. Nature is my primary source of inspiration, and color is my principal mode of expression. Art and music have always been my creative outlets, and I still divide my time between painting and singing. I have been performing classical music and exhibiting my artwork ever since college. I grew up in California and graduated from the University of California at Santa Cruz in 1976. I married a fellow UCSC graduate in 1982 and moved to the East Coast for about 10 years. Our two children were born there, but we longed for our beautiful home state and returned in 1993. I continue to exhibit paintings, jewelry, and fine crafts. More recently, I have begun doing illustrations for children's books and for licensing.
