Artist Retreat
Hi There! I have a very special announcement to make for Artists Helping Artists (Aha!) about the beautiful visionary retreat facility we are looking to assume starting Jan 1, 2006. The wonderful new Aha! Redwoods Retreat Center is 6 minutes off of Highway 1 on 11 acres of gorgeous Santa Cruz redwoods in California. We are now accepting applications for artists to obtain their own rooms and actually live at the Center.

Some key aspects to the Aha! Redwoods Retreat Center:

** large redwood trees within feet of your bedroom window...
** facility on 11 acres of land and wilderness to explore...
** share facility with 7 or 8 other artists and those doing retreats...
** gallery / exhibit space for those living at center...
** 45 minutes from San Jose airport, 10 minutes Santa Cruz downtown and beaches
** okay for those with small creative / arts businesses
** share or have your own room...
** workshop space for visual artists...

ONE OF THE BIGGEST DECISIONS EVER IN YOUR LIFE MAY BE WHETHER YOU DECIDE TO SURROUND YOURSELF WITH OTHERS OF VISION AND HUMANITY. IF SUCH A CREATIVE ADVENTURE DOES NOT MAKE YOU JUMP OUT OF YOUR SKIN IN SOME WAY... THEN THIS IS COMMUNITY AND RETREAT FACILITY IS PROBABLY NOT FOR YOU.

Special Announcement from
Artists Helping Artists (Aha!)
Hello,
I wanted to fill you in on some news: First off the events last weekend at Scenic Drive Gallery overlooking San Gabriel Valley were delightfully inspired and intimate. Thanks go out to Andre & Susan Dobay, Penelope Torribio and Mark Moran, some of our most active Aha! Ambassadors in Southern California.
Next, Kathi and I have some private weekends available for retreats at our home / Aha! center in the redwood mountains of Santa Cruz. Book three days and nights for $200 (or $350 for a whole week!) for your own room looking right into the stupendous redwoods. It's quite lovely and if you come up on one of the weekends we are having events you can show your work off to other innovators, educators and artists that we are gathering.
We have a special "Cracking Open the Muse" event coming up in Santa Cruz on Sat May 27, 2 to 6pm. And then we have "Spirit of Art" -- an Aha Reunion Day, potluck, conversation and showcase in Southern California on Sun June 25 from 2 to 7pm. Come join in the circles and find something essential or eternal there when you do! Details at http://www.artistshelpingartists.org/roundtables.htm
Also, we are announcing our Aha! logo contest and is awarding two years of Aha! Renaissance Membership to the person whose logo wins the contest and is used. Graphic designers and artists may request the contest details by contacting Glenn Horton at TheArtistsLine@cs.com
Also, take a sneak peek at our upcoming Art, Spirit and Life Festival 2006 that Aha! is administering with various other organizations all day Sat Nov 4, 2006 in Santa Cruz! http://www.artistshelpingartists.org/heart_of_community.htm
